1931 Ford Model A Deluxe Roadster

LMC is very proud to offer for sale this 1931 Ford Model A Deluxe Roadster.

The Model A was Ford’s second huge success after the Model T. They were sold from 1927 until 1931 and had a base price of just $385! Over 3 million units were sold across the globe and included a vast amount of body styles. They were powered by an L-Head 4 Cylinder engine that put out 40HP, and were capable of speeds around 65 mph. The Model A was the first Ford that used the conventional driver controls, with the pedal clutch, brake, throttle, and gearshift.

This 1931 Ford Model A Deluxe Roadster was one of just 1,973 that were built in the Windsor, Ontario Assembly Plant. It is powered by the professionally rebuilt 200.5 cu. In. Model A engine with the Model A 3-speed manual transmission. Relatively new for 1931, it is equipped with a Foot Operated Electric Starter, which eliminated the need to hand crank the engine unless absolutely necessary. This beautiful example has benefited from a complete no expense spared nut and bolt frame off restoration to an immaculate level. The stunning Washington Blue exterior is in show worthy condition.  It has been wet sanded and polished to a very high level of finish.  The doors, wheels, brakes, top, powertrain, suspension and much more have all been meticulously restored to make this Ford look and perform better than it would have when it left the assembly line. The top easily folds down for open air driving, and the Rumble Seat adds even more fun for passengers. The auxiliary rear mounted trunk with leather straps looks beautiful and adds practicality for tours or overnight trips. With only 315 miles driven on this Ford since it's beautiful restoration, it is to no surprise that the undercarriage is also a work of art, looking better than it would have when it left the factory.

You will be hard pressed to find another 1931 Ford Model A in such pristine condition as this Ford is. It is undoubtedly one of the greatest Model As in existence today. This is an opportunity to own a piece of automotive history at an absolute fraction of the cost of its restoration.
